Writing the Story -- a Musing

The story I'm writing to submit for the Ruins Metropolis antho closes the day at 2363 words (per Word), and best I can figure, approximately half completed.  But it amazes me how things pop up into a tale as it composes itself -- I don't think I could have deliberately outlined all the small twists that are developing in the story as it grows on the computer screen.   

I like it... it's quickly changing into a Will sort of story.

Hmm, you've got me beat by about 1900 words, I'd better get busy this week!

Perhaps, but I am hoping to keep up the pace. I hope to get it down as quick as possible so I can get feedback from the group. I still have another to write for Desolate Places -- it has the same deadline and I only have about 200 words and the idea for it done.

I hope to get 250-700 words a day on this one in, though. I should (I hope) finish the rough by the weekend.
