Well, it was boring. Very non-productive and little else. However, I did get a chance to go see the new Indiana Jones film. After all, with all the critics split between rave and condemn, I had to go see what the hype was. Besides, if it is Indy, it had to be entertaining, right?

TOTALLY. The critics that tear this apart are just doing their job. For me, a regular joe just out to be ENTERTAINED (!!!), this show was great. I saw the Indy I knew doing the job in true Indy Jones fashion, and I saw new people and old come in to join him in doing so. From the little reference glimpses to the first films to the symbolic (almost) passing of the mantle of the closing and all the excitement between, this was Indiana Jones once again fulfilling the legacy. I would give it a 4.5 of 5 stars. (rumors abound for more sequels now, naturally. The most likely "true" rumor is that in 5, LeBouef is the main guy, with Ford in a part similar to Connelly in #3. This would be a true passing-of-the-mantle sequel. But would be son fill the shoes of the father? Humm, I'd like to see if it could...)

I also picked up National Treasure 2. This is also an entertaining film, and another I would recommend. However, the transitions were too choppy, and from that I would rate it 4 of 5 stars. Still, it was very good, and one of the few (treasure hunting) adventure films that take into consideration the age of wood and stuff over time (like, people, things rot over centuries, k?),which is for me a plus.

Now for Mummy 3, due out around August 1st, I hear. No Rachael Weiss as Evie, sadly,. but still looks to be an action packed adventure flick with Jet Li as the bad guy.
