I haven't posted for a day or two, and now -- Thanks!

I thank Kelly, Brian, Ralan, Floyd, and Paul for their critique of my story.  I specially thank them for the one main common point all of them had: It is a good story.  It naturally had many of the minor flaws a rough has, which is why the story grew a bit, from 4336 words to 4602.  

I am happy with it.
